ONA were recently awarded design and fabrication support for 4 x 16.5m steel navigation buoys for use at an offshore marine terminal in Western Australia. The buoys will be installed by an installation contractor and moored in depths of 20-21m using clump weights.
Each buoy is fitted with a flashing solar Sealite type lights and an appropriate day shape. The design is based on existing spar buoys in the area but has been engineered to facilitate easy transport and installation. The buoy is fitted with day shapes in accordance with the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). ONA Marine endeavours to conform to all of the Recommendations, Guidelines and other documentation offered by IALA.
